Summary

This position is responsible for all of the administrative duties in our dental clinic, working closely with the staff dentist and other employees to help ensure smooth operations of the clinic. The manager also has responsibilities with managing expenses, creating awareness of clinic services, billing and bookkeeping duties, staff schedules, meetings, and work flow. The right person is someone who should possess excellent people skills and be a proactive listener, be compassionate and have empathy.  Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office is a must.

Job Duties

  • Manage the dental staff, which includes determining work flow and performance, scheduling, and ensuring operational excellence
  • Responsible for staff training in the software system, with the support of a training consultant as needed
  • Establish positive and supportive relationships with vendors
  • Plan special events to create awareness of clinic services and to support community needs
  • Maintain OSHA standards making sure the facilities are clean, orderly, and safe.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to recruit and select office staff to meet operational requirements
  • Manage staff, patient schedules and ensure operational standards are met
  • Organize and present financial arrangements to patients
  • Oversee the processing of dental claims
  • Coordinate with dental insurance companies to ensure claims are paid
  • Monitor and maintain the office budget
  • Organize and oversee supply purchases, equipment upgrades and operations expenses

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Office Management experience
  • Minimum 2years  experience successfully performing related duties
  • Working knowledge and experience with information and technology systems
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Models Professionalism
  • Must be in agreement with the goals and objectives of Mel trotter Ministries

Working Conditions

  • Understand, speak, read, and write fluent English
  • Required to talk and  hear
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to use fine motor hand functions
  • Frequently exposed to varying temperatures from below 32 degrees to above 80 degrees
