Dining Hall Checker

Hours: 12-20 hours per week

The Dining Service Checker welcomes all incoming guests, so strong customer service skills are required to handle a variety of tasks and situations including:

  • Responsible for opening and closing assigned servery/work area(s)
  • Greet diners with enthusiasm
  • Follows written and verbal instructions
  • Manages customer cash transactions on a POS system
  • Manages ID scanning and tracking via CU software package
  • Perform other duties as directed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must have an outgoing personality and a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Able to work independently and with a diverse group of individuals

Essential Qualification:

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitment
  • A theology that supports the values and mission of Cornerstone University and CU Food Service
