Office Assistant

The Cultural Intelligence Center (CQC), an innovative, research-based consulting and training company, is looking for an Office Assistant at our Grand Rapids, MI location. This individual supports our team by helping with duties like printing and shipping materials, inventory management, reviewing training materials, and overall office support.

The ideal candidate is a problem solver, technically proficient, attentive to details, and genuinely excited to support the day-to-day operations of the Cultural Intelligence Center. The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach to ensure clients receive quality, professional materials in a timely way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Printing Specialist

  • Prints client facing materials for projects and certifications
  • Completes special printing requests (marketing materials, etc.) for the team
  • Reviews materials for quality control to ensure accuracy and professionalism of all client facing materials

Office Support

  • Welcomes guests to the Grand Rapids office
  • Assembles client facing materials
  • Packages and ships materials
  • Makes minor revisions to custom client facing materials (e.g. participant handouts)
  • General office errands and support (mail, shipping materials, supplies, etc.)
  • Data entry in our Customer Relationship Management system

Inventory Management

  • Manages client-related inventory (printing materials, books, supplies, etc.)
  • Manages office inventory (office and kitchen supplies, etc.)

Supports the Business Administrator

  • Assists as needed with projects, admin tasks and scheduling meetings
  • Assists with monthly expense reporting

Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • High-school diploma or equivalency
  • Reliable transportation and current driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds (job regularly requires the lifting of paper, office supplies, boxes of products to be shipped to clients, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based interfaces, etc.
  • Attention to detail
  • Preferred: Proficiency with PDF editor and prior experience with large-scale, professional printing jobs


  • Part-time, hourly position (20 hours each week)
  • Hiring Range:  $13 - $15 per hour 
  • Reports to Business Administrator
  • Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan
