Position: Residential Therapist

Reports To: Residential Clinical Manager

Beginning Pay Range: $40,560.00 - $44,616.00

The Therapist is part of a diverse clinical team who provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to the students they are assigned to based off of skill set, capacity, and needs of the student. Working under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, Residential Therapists are expected to formulate an effective, understandable, and developmentally appropriate treatment plan demonstrating the philosophy of D.A. Blodgett St. John’s Residential Division of providing trauma-informed  service and care. Therapists are expected to utilize various treatment modalities suiting the needs of their assigned students. Therapists are expected to work collaboratively with Youth Development Specialists to educate and guide the team on comprehensive care for students. Therapists contribute to all written reports and communications regarding a student’s case. Residential Therapists as as the primary therapeutic contact for all parties of a case and serve as a representative of D.A. Blodgett St. John’s in court hearings for students. The Therapist is expected to provide aftercare services as determined by the agency for the student’s on their caseload.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or equivalent with a professional license (full or limited) within the State of Michigan. @ years of experience working with high risk youth populations preferred.
